Welcome to my blog ‘Getting my Sh1t Together’. So first let me introduce myself. I’m Emma, I’m early forties and live in Barnsley with my husband, our 4 year old daughter and baby son.
I’ve set up this blog so I have somewhere to write other than my journal - hey if you don’t journal it’s great for ranting in and ‘letting go’ - you know like Anna and Elsa. Anyway I digress. I wanted a place for me to write openly and honestly but with less swearing than in my journal.
On a recent ‘Pause for Thought’ on good ol’ Radio 2 I heard the following:
Recycle the suffering for good
Well I’ve had a fair bit of suffering haven’t we all, but I just love the idea of recycling it for good.
So that’s partly why I’ve set-up this blog. The need to write, the desire to share what I’ve learnt / experienced and to continue to share whilst ‘Getting my Sh1t Together’ mentally, physically - including physical space - and spiritually. Does anyone really ever get their Sh1t together? Well let’s see. Because right now in these uncertain times with coronavirus, it may be too much to ‘Get our Sh1t Together’ - and instead a case of trying to keep our sh1t together. Stay safe and well and let’s all look after one another.
